The weather is horrible, cold, damp and cloudy. I wanted to smell good, so I decided to bake a lemon cake. This particular one is taken from a famous book that has sold a lot in that period. It 's simple, immediate and handsomely home.
x6 people
300g flour 300g sugar 3 eggs
the juice of 2 or 3 lemons (I put 2 and a half) 1 tablespoon baking
cake 100g butter 1 cup milk
I added the grated zest of 1 lemon
In a bowl, sift flour with baking powder. Melt the butter in a double boiler (I microwave) separate the yolks from the whites and place the egg yolks with sugar and egg whites until stiff. Add egg yolks to the flour, warm milk with melted butter, lemon juice and zest. Finally add the egg whites with a pinch of salt. Pour into a baking pan and bake at 130 degrees in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes (the recipe reported 30 minutes but it seemed to me a little).
the oven, let it cool, unmold the cake plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Delicious was the comment of my son ;-).
